Thug Laff

October 16, 2014 – After three days of accelerated fact checking, rights clearances, board approval, etc; Greg Koos, longtime Executive Director of The McLean County Historical Society, has announced plans to include this image in his permanent collection housed in the Old McLean County Courthouse, now a museum open to the public in downtown Bloomington, IL. Comparing its historical significance to news reports of a young Abraham Lincoln practicing law in the area early in his career, also housed in the museum, Koos said in a prepared statement the image “Speaks to the times in a powerful way, specifically as it relates to period dress and the missing student/athlete in the back row.” Koos added he considers this “Perhaps the single most exciting discovery of my career.”
